Happy Birthday Cory

November 9, 2008

Cory's birthday isn't today it was Tuesday but we celebrated it today with his family. On Friday we went out to dinner at Flame n Skewers with Alison and Jesus and ate the best food I'd had in a long time. It is way yummy. I had such a nice time out with them. I love that we love each other and like each other too. That isn't always the way it works out when families join but so far it's the way always been. '
Today we ate Chicken Curry and Connie's chocolate cake smothered with caramel and sweetened condensed milk... this cake is not for the weak.

BIg Brother and his Little Sister

Nov. 4, 2008

This morning Caleb was especially loving to Hannah and really wanted to hold her and kiss on her. She cried for most of it but Caleb remained happy and held her. Note to Self: Sometimes days are hard but the good ones do come and make you REALLY glad your a Mom. Today was one of those days.

Sunday Dinner

Nov. 2, 2008

This evening we spent with my family eating soup and bread (jalepeno cheese bread - which I really love. It has the right amount of kick). After dinner we played Apple to Apples together. After the game was over we read aloud the cards we had won and laughed really hard. I hope those cards don't mean anything otherwise my parents are in big trouble with my sister. Speaking of... isn't she a doll?

Smoothie Mustache

Nov. 1, 2008

This morning I made Caleb a smoothie and, yes he actually drank it. He inherited a beautiful purple smoothie mustache, I took a picture of it before he wiped away the evidence.

Trunk or Treat

This year we dressed up in our best version of a 50's family. Hannah and I wore poodle skirts, (can you believe that someone woke up one morning and said, I've a great idea for fashion... we'll put a poodle...on a skirt. And we'll make millions! Cheers and Applause ). Cory was a nerd, he even had a "Kick me" sign on his back and the sad thing was, someone actually kicked him. I mean come on. Sister Cola, aka Madame Amber Jade, was there lookin awesome and so were a lot of others. I really loved Jocelyn's costume, she was "multi-eye" girl. I really don't know what she was but it was a really creative costume.

CBIZ Halloween

October 31, 2008

This afternoon at 4 all of the CBIZ kids were invited to come to the office and begin the trick or treating a little early. We were on time this year even a little early, hallelujah, and Caleb had a blast. Cory's co-worker dressed up like Ernie from Sesame Street and freaked all the kids out. He wasn't trying to be spooky... the over sized orange Ernie head did the job for him. Caleb looked around every corner before he walked down the hall or into the next office, in fear of... ERNIE.

The Spider

October 30, 2008

Tonight we carved our HUGE pumpkin. Well let me rephrase that, tonight Cory carved our HUGE pumpkin and we watched and cheered him on. Caleb decided very quickly that he didn't like touching the pumpkin guts. But he didn't seem to mind driving his tractor through them. In the end, we had an awesome spider-pumpkin.

Pumpkin Patch

October 27, 2008

We met with Grandma and the Moreno's for FHE tonight to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. The boys had a great time. Patrick wanted to pick up every pumpkin he saw whether it was small or HUGE. The babies were really good and really excited about carving their pumpkin in a few days.

Hannah goes to Work

October 22, 2008

Today I brought Hannah to work while Caleb was at preschool to meet Cory's friends at work. She was very good and Cory was very happy to see us (it was a surprise... but don't we all like these kinds of surprises).

Tee Time

October 15, 2008

Caleb loves playing Golf and loves to play in the house...Good thing the ball stays on the ground.

Choo-Choo

October 14, 2008

Tonight Caleb made a train with his cars during his bath and then knocked them off and made it again, and again.

3 1/2 weeks

Oct. 13, 2008

Hannah had her first real bath today and she liked it long enough to take this picture and then it was a big race to finish and get her because she was "angry." Afterward she smelled like lavender and was calm and happy. Whew... I hope baths get better.

Soccer Pros

While the rest of the kids were busy perfecting their soccer skills Caleb and Patrick watched from the side lines... learning their secrets.

Just me and Hannah

October 2, 2008

While Caleb was asleep this afternoon Hannah and I had some "girl" time just the two of us. We watched my new favorite movie Bella, and then I just watched her for a little while. She is so beautiful to me.

Slam Dunk

Sept. 29, 2008

Tonight Cory got out the basketball net and matching ball. Caleb didn't want to play with the purple and silver ball. He wanted to play with the tiny red ball. Cory and Caleb played together until it was time to get in the bath tub. Cory is such an amazing Dad. He is never too busy for Caleb, never too tired or too anything. He is always and first Caleb's DAD.

Mohawk

Sept. 27, 2008

Caleb's hair is pretty long and curly right now. He's due for a haircut, like yesterday. In the mean time it is the perfect length for a bath time Mohawk.

A walk with Nini

Sept. 26, 2008

This morning, even though it was hot, NiNi took Caleb out for a walk through the field by our house. NiNi found a stick and shook the plants in front of her to make sure there weren't any snakes (Yikes). Caleb had a great time out with his fun adventurous NiNi.

At the race tracks

Sept. 25, 2008

Caleb loves his hot wheels. We went over to the Delgado's and Caleb fell in love with the Hotwheel cars. So slowly we have been building our own collection of cars. Caleb wants to play with them all day long and then sleep with them during nap time and bedtime.

Pictures

Sept. 24, 2008

After the Spa treatment, Hannah was awake and refreshed. I hoped this would be a great time to take pictures, and it was. She was very cooperative. She is one week old today!

A Day at the Spa

Sept. 24, 2008

Hannah had some goop in her eyes this morning and my Mom suggested that we warm up a wash cloth and out it on her eyes for a few minutes. Well, Hannah loved it. When we put it on her eyes she relaxed and stayed perfectly still as if she were at the spa. I thought the wash cloth and the words on the onzie said it all... "I deserve to be pampered."

Cupcakes

Sept. 23, 2008

Hannah was still asleep after Caleb got up from his nap so we decided we needed to do something together, just the two of us. And since my mom came over this morning and put our house in order and went to the Grocery Store for me I really didn't have anything, as far as laundry and chores to do, so baking was the order of the afternoon.
Caleb loves to bake. He asks me to lift him up on the counter and says, "Make, Make." Which means: he wants to use the stand up mixer that's on the counter and make something...anything.

Big Brother

Sept. 22, 2008

Caleb wanted to hold Hannah this morning and so I set him up on the couch with the boppy and laid Hannah on his lap. He looked at her and studied her body. He touched her toes and fingers and was very curious about her tiny skin tag on her chest. He didn't like it on her and kept trying to brush it away. He thought it was fuzz or food, definitely not something that belongs on her chest.
Whenever he sees her he says, "Hi, my baby Hannah" in his highest sweetest voice.

Happy Birthday Sara

Sept. 21, 2008

Today is Sara's 25th B-Day. She said her one birthday wish was to take a picture with both babies. Grandma Connie decided this was also her birthday wish (even though her birthday is in June).
Sara didn't know until after she opened her birthday presents that she newly realized another birthday wish... cooking and baking supplies. Sara loves to bake in fact she made her own birthday cake. Isn't it beautiful?

Caleb couldn't miss the Fair

Sept. 20, 2008

Cory and Caleb have had a lot of bonding time together since Tuesday. They have spent every waking moment together playing and laughing. I think they're both in heaven. Well today was no different. I didn't fell up to going to the fair so I sent Cory and Caleb to enjoy it for all of us. They met up with The Moreno's and Grandma and Grandpa.
Cory said that Caleb walked right up the this cow and just looked at it and listened to it "MOO." Then he found a box and forgot about the fair altogether. You know, boxes are cool.
Then it was time for Dad to fulfill the promise made to his little boy, "You can get on one ride." Caleb wanted the Ferris wheel really bad, but he was too short. Heartbreak. Then his spirits were lifted when he saw the CARS ride. And he really wanted to ride that. So Daddy picked him up and headed for the back of the line. But he never found it. He looked and looked but it went on for miles to the Sierra Mountains even, so Dad said, "Caleb we have to find another ride." Devastation. Last hope was the train ride. Success! Daddy had 3 tickets. The train ride was 3 tickets. Caleb was the right size and the line was long but not too long. Hooray all is right in the world.
